Evaporative Emission System Overview

- Separating Point
- At the right front in the engine compartment under the coolant expansion tank.
- Vent Line
- White
- From the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister to EVAP canister purge regulator valve
- Component location: Right side, beneath vehicle floor.
- Secured to the fuel tank in the fuel tank area.
- Vent Line
- Green
- From the engine to Leak Detection Pump (LDP).
- Component location: Right side, beneath the vehicle floor.
- Secured to the fuel tank in the fuel tank area.
- Separating Point
- At the right front on the fuel tank in the area of the fuel filter.
- Fuel Filler Tube
- Vent Line
- From the fuel filler tube to the EVAP canister.
- Clipped onto the bracket.
- Air Filter Housing
- For the LDP.
- Leak Detection Pump (LDP) -V144-
- Component location: Under the wheel housing liner in the right rear wheel housing.
- Removing and installing, refer to LEAK DETECTION PUMP .
- Fuel system, checking for leaks. Refer to FUEL/EVAP SYSTEM, CHECKING FOR LEAKS .
- Connecting Pipe
- From the LDP to the EVAP canister.
- Clipped onto the bracket.
- Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister
- Component location: Bottom of the spare tire wheel well.
- Removing and installing, refer to EVAP CANISTER .
- Separating Point
- At the right rear on the fuel tank.
- Turbocharger
- Removing and installing, refer to TURBOCHARGER .
- Brake Booster
- Vacuum Pump
- Non Return Valve
- Installed position: Arrow points in direction of flow.
- Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve 1 -N80-
- Component location: At the front in the engine compartment.
- Double Check Valve
- Checking, refer to DOUBLE CHECK VALVE, CHECKING .
- Throttle Valve Control Module -J338-
- Removing and installing, refer to THROTTLE VALVE CONTROL MODULE .
