Component Locations

The control module for diesel direct fuel injection system is equipped with a DTC memory. Before and after repairs or adjustments, the DTC memory must be checked.

1. Intake flap motor -V157- 
   • Removing and installing, refer to INTAKE FLAP MOTOR .
2. Electrical EGR vacuum regulator solenoid valve - N18- with EGR potentiometer -G212- 
   • Removing and installing, refer to INTAKE CONNECTION WITH ELECTRICAL EGR VACUUM REGULATOR SOLENOID VALVE AND POTENTIOMETER .
3. Engine control module 
   • Removing and installing, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
4. Pump injector units 
   • Pump injector valve (cylinder 1) - N240-
   • Pump injector valve (cylinder 2) - N241-
   • Pump injector valve (cylinder 3) - N242-
   • Pump injector valve (cylinder 4) - N243-
   • Pump injector units, removing and installing, refer to PUMP INJECTOR UNIT .
5. Turbocharger (TC) vane position sensor -G500- 
   • Removing and installing, refer to TURBOCHARGER ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .
6. Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler switch over valve -N345- 
   • Component location, refer to Fig 4
7. Mass air flow (MAF) sensor -G70- 
   • Removing and installing, refer to AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .
8. Wastegate Bypass Regulator Valve -N75 - 
   • Component location, refer to Fig 2
9. 6-pin harness connector 
   • For Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO) -G39- 
   • Component location, refer to Fig 5
10. Clutch position sensor -G476- 
    • Component location, refer to Fig 15
11. Throttle Position (TP) sensor -G79- /accelerator pedal position sensor 2 -G185- 
    • Component location, refer to Fig 13
12. Brake light switch -F- and brake pedal switch -F47-

13. Relay carrier 
    • Under the engine compartment E-box
    • With automatic glow time control module -J179-

14. Fuel Pump (FP) relay -J17-

    • With power supply relay (terminal 30, B+) - J317-

16. Tandem pump 
    • Checking, refer to TANDEM PUMP, CHECKING .

17. Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor -G62-

    • If necessary release pressure in cooling system before removing
18. Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor (on radiator) -G83-

19. Fuel temperature sensor -G81-

24. Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor -G40-

25. Charge air pressure sensor -G31- with Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor -G42-

• To disconnect the connector, pull the release pin -arrow 1- and loosen the knurled nut -arrow 2-.

• The Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor (on radiator) -G83- -arrow- is located in the right front coolant thermostat connecting piece on the engine.
