Selector Mechanism Overview, Through 02.09

WARNING:

Move the selector lever into the "P" position and set the parking brake before working with the engine running.

  1. Selector Handle with Cover
    • Do not remove the handle unnecessarily. For emergency release, only the cover needs the be removed. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER, MANUAL RELEASE .
    • Pull the button past its pressure point before removing the handle. Secure the button with a tie strap or tape. This prevents the button from being pushed back into the handle accidentally.
    • If the button is pushed in:

      -- Just before installing, pull the button out beyond the press point (sense this by touch).

  2. Selector Mechanism with Selector Lever.
  3. Bolt with Spring
    • 3 Nm
  4. Pin
  5. Retainer
    • Always replace after removing.
  6. Nut
    • 9 Nm
    • Quantity: 4
  7. Selector Housing
    • With seal.
  8. Selector Lever Cable
  9. Retainer
  10. Nut
    • 8 Nm
    • Quantity: 4
