Selector Mechanism With Lever, Through 02.09

NOTE:

Check the cable for ease of movement after installing it.

Removing

-- Remove the center console. Refer to "Storage Compartments, Covers and Trim" in Removal and Installation .

-- Remove the cable from the transmission. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, THROUGH 02.09 .

-- Remove the exhaust system components underneath the heat shield. Refer to Description and Operation [For engine(s) BGP, BGQ, CBTA, CBUA] Description and Operation [For engine(s) BPY] Description and Operation [For engine(s) CCTA] Description and Operation .

-- Remove the heat shield under the vehicle.

-- Remove the 4 nuts for the selector mechanism from above.

Tightening specification for the nuts: 8 Nm

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse sequence.

-- Check the cable after installing it. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, CHECKING .
