Muffler And Mounts Assembly Overview

Suspended Mount
- Replace if damaged.
- Riveted to the shield.
Bolt, 25 Nm
Retaining Loop
- Replace if damaged.
Center Muffler
- Unit with rear muffler.
Mount with Retaining Loops
- replace if damaged.
Rear Muffler
- Unit with center muffler.
to Vacuum Control Unit
- Location: In the left rear wheel housing.
- Individual components, refer to Fig 2.
- To remove, remove the wheel housing liner.
Vacuum Actuator
- Checking, refer to EXHAUST FLAP, CHECKING .
Clamping Sleeve
- Align the exhaust system before tightening. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING .
- Clamping sleeve location, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING .
- Tighten the nuts evenly.
Nut, 25 Nm

1 - Separating point

2 - To the intake manifold, see -item 10- in INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .

3 - Vacuum reservoir

4 - Tighten bracket to 25 Nm

5 - Exhaust flap valve 1

6 - To the exhaust flap vacuum actuator, see -item 8- in the overview above.
