Valve gear, servicing: Notes
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 11 other vehicles, including the 1999 Volkswagen Jetta, 1999 Volkswagen GTI, 1998 Volkswagen Jetta, 1998 Volkswagen GTI, and 1997 Volkswagen Jetta. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Cylinder heads that have cracks between valve seats or between valve seats and spark plug threads can be re-used without reducing service life, provided the cracks do not exceed a maximum width of 0.5 mm (0.020 in.).
