Removal [02/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [02/2024 - ]

    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [02/2024 - ]
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  4. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29

  5. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP PLUG 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33

  6. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP PLUG 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the assist grip plug.
  7. REMOVE PILLAR ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35

  8. REMOVE OUTER LAP BELT ANCHOR COVER

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (LAP BELT ANCHOR)

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    HINT: 
    Remove the rear side of the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH so that the center pillar lower garnish LH and center pillar garnish LH can be removed.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    HINT: 
    Remove the front side of the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH so that the center pillar lower garnish LH and center pillar garnish LH can be removed.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  12. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40

  13. REMOVE TONGUE STOPPER COVER (for LH Side)

  14. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 42

  15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

      1. Remove the nut and shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH.
      2. Disconnect the pretensioner connector.

        HINT: 

        Refer to How to Connect or Disconnect Airbag Connector:

        Refer to HOW TO CONNECT OR DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR [02/2024 - ]

      3. Remove the bolt.
      4. Detach the guide and remove the front seat outer belt assembly LH.
  16. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure when replacing the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
