Removal [02/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  2. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  4. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *a Lever - -
      Remove in this Direction Push in this Direction
      1. Push the lever, detach the guide to remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.
  6. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR

  9. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Tie a string to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly in the cabin.

        HINT: 

        Use a length of string long enough to pass through the engine compartment.

      2. Detach the clamp.
      3. Remove the grommet as shown in the illustration.

      1. Detach the clamp and remove the hood lock control cable assembly.
