Removal [02/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2024 - ]

  2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    See step  2

  3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER GUARD BASE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  6. REMOVE WHEEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2024 - ]

  7. REMOVE REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD RH 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  35. REMOVE NO. 1 HYBRID BATTERY INTAKE DUCT

  36. DISCONNECT INLET HEATER WATER HOSE

      1. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the inlet heater water hose.
        NOTE:
        • Do not apply excessive force to the inlet heater water hose.
        • Prepare a container or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
  37. DISCONNECT OUTLET HEATER WATER HOSE

      1. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the outlet heater water hose.
        NOTE:
        • Do not apply excessive force to the outlet heater water hose.
        • Prepare a container or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
  38. DISCONNECT NO. 2 LIQUID TUBE

      1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 2 iquid tube.
      2. Remove the O-ring from the No. 2 iquid tube.
        NOTE:

        Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent the entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  39. DISCONNECT NO. 1 SUCTION TUBE

      1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 suction tube.
      2. Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 suction tube.
        NOTE:

        Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent the entry of moisture and foreign matter.

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the No. 4 cooler unit drain hose is necessary.
