Removal [02/2019 - 10/2019]: Procedure
- RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
- for HFC-134a (R134a):
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- for HFO-1234yf (R1234yf):

- REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP
Refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019]
- CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE
- for AWD:
- Remove the No. 2 inverter protector.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8
- Remove the No. 2 inverter protector.
- Disconnect the engine room main wire.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
- Remove the connector cover assembly.
- for 2WD:
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9
- for AWD:
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10
- for 2WD:
- Check the terminal voltage.
- for 2WD:

- Install the connector cover assembly.

- Connect the engine room main wire.

- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH

- REMOVE FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for TMC Made)

- REMOVE FRONT FENDER FRONT OUTSIDE MOULDING RH (for TMMC Made)

- REMOVE FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD LH

- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

- REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH (for TMC Made)

- REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH

- DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly.NOTE:
Do not apply excessive force to the suction hose sub-assembly.
- Remove the O-ring from the suction hose sub-assembly.NOTE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly.
- DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.NOTE:
Do not apply excessive force to the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.
- Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.NOTE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.
- REMOVE COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the connector (A).
Connector (A) - Remove the 2 nuts.
- Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts and bolt.NOTE:
Do not drop or subject the parts to any impact.
Bolt Stud Bolt - Slide the green-colored lock of the connector (B) as shown in the illustration to release it and disconnect the connector.
Connector (B) Slide Green-colored Lock WARNING:Make sure to wear insulated gloves.
NOTE:Insulate the disconnected terminals and connector with insulating tape.
- Remove the compressor with motor assembly from the location shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Do not damage surrounding parts.
- Disconnect the connector (A).
