Removal [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [10/2022 - ]

  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE BATTERY HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR ARMREST COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP CLIP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

  11. REMOVE HOLE PLUG 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  16. REMOVE HOLE PLUG (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29

  17. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32

  18. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN ROD 
    1. Disengage the snap as shown in the illustration to disconnect the front door lock open rod.

      *1 Snap
      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
      Remove in this Direction (3)
    2. Remove the front door lock open rod in the direction indicated by the arrow (3) shown in the illustration.
  19. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 "TORX" screws and front door lock with motor assembly.

    2. When reusing the front door lock with motor assembly:

      1. Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the front door lock with motor assembly.
  20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

      *a Protective Tape

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front door lock cover sub-assembly.

  21. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN LEVER REMOTE CONTROL CABLE 
    1. Disengage the clamp to remove the front door lock open lever remote control cable.

  22. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCK/UNLOCK KNOB LOCKING CABLE 
    1. Disengage the clamp to remove the front door inside lock/unlock knob locking cable.
