Removal [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    For Manual Seat:

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

    For Power Seat:

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

  2. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the tonneau cover assembly.

  3. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the deck board assembly.

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD 
    1. Disengage the 3 clips to remove the rear No. 2 floor board.

  5. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD 
    1. Disengage the 3 clips to remove the rear No. 3 floor board.

  6. REMOVE BATTERY HOLE COVER 
    1. Disengage the 8 claws to remove the battery hole cover.

  7. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER STOPPER 
    1. Remove the spare wheel cover stopper.

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - ]

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and guide as shown in the illustration.

      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2) - -
    2. Disengage the 6 claws and guide as shown in the illustration to remove the front door scuff plate LH.
    3. w/ Illumination:
      1. Disconnect the connector.
  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 
    1. Remove the clip.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Disengage the clip to remove the cowl side trim board LH as shown in the illustration.
  12. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Pull the upper part of the front pillar garnish LH toward the inside of the cabin as shown in the illustration to disengage the front pillar garnish LH from the base of the 2 front pillar garnish clips.

      HINT: 

      Let the front pillar garnish LH hang from the 2 front pillar garnish clips.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. While pushing the tabs of the 2 front pillar garnish clips as shown in the illustration, disengage it.

      HINT: 

      When the front pillar garnish clips cannot be disengaged easily:

      1. While pushing the tab of the front pillar garnish clip shown in the illustration with your finger, move the front pillar garnish clip in the direction shown in the illustration.

      2. While pulling the front pillar garnish clip as shown in the illustration, push the tab of the front pillar garnish clip shown in the illustration with a screwdriver and disengage the front pillar garnish clip.

        Pull in this Direction
    3. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the front pillar garnish LH as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    4. w/ Front No. 3 Speaker:
      1. Disconnect the connector.
    5. Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly LH.

      *a Protective Cover
      *b Adhesive Tape
      1. Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with a protective cover, such as a cloth, and secure the edges of the cover with tape as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish LH is removed.

    6. Remove the 2 front pillar garnish clips from the front pillar garnish LH.

  16. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and guide as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disengage the 5 claws, clip and guide as shown in the illustration to remove the rear door scuff plate LH.
  18. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  19. REMOVE NO. 2 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

      Remove in this Direction - -
    2. Disengage the 5 clips and 2 guides to remove the No. 2 battery service cover board as shown in the illustration.
  20. REMOVE NO. 3 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

      Remove in this Direction - -
    2. Disengage the 5 clips and 2 guides to remove the No. 3 battery service cover board as shown in the illustration.
  21. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  22. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  23. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  24. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  25. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  26. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  27. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disengage the 2 clips to remove the center pillar lower garnish LH.
  28. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  29. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Disengage the clip as shown in the illustration.
    3. Pass the anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH through the center pillar garnish assembly LH to remove it.
    4. Remove the clip from the center pillar garnish assembly LH.

  30. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  31. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws, 2 guides and 4 clips to remove the rear floor finish plate.

  32. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR MAT SUPPORT SIDE PLATE 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and 4 clips to remove the rear No. 1 floor mat support side plate.
  33. REMOVE CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  34. REMOVE CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  35. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and rear seatback hinge sub-assembly LH.

  37. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH

  39. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  40. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH

    2. Disengage the 5 claws, 2 clips and 5 guides to remove the deck trim side panel assembly LH.
  41. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH

    2. Disengage the 5 claws, 2 clips and 5 guides to remove the deck trim side panel assembly RH.
  42. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disengage the 8 clips as shown in the illustration to remove the roof side inner garnish assembly LH.

    2. Remove the 8 clips from the roof side inner garnish assembly LH.

  43. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  44. REMOVE TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY

  45. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  46. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER LH 
    1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover LH.

  47. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.
    2. Pull the visor assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disconnect it from the visor holder.

    3. Pull the visor assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to remove it.
  48. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER RH 

    HINT:

  49. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  50. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER 
    1. Turn the visor holder approximately 45° and remove it as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

  51. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for all assist grip assemblies.

    1. Insert SST into the cutout of the assist grip cover as shown in the illustration.

      • SST: 09813-00010 
      NOTE:

      To prevent the assist grip assembly from being damaged, make sure to insert SST straight into the cutout.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

    2. Pull SST as shown in the illustration to disengage the claw.

      NOTE:

      To prevent the assist grip assembly from being damaged, make sure to only pull SST as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      • Use the same procedure for the claw on the other side of the assist grip cover LH.
      • Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
    3. Remove the assist grip cover LH.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

    4. Disengage the 2 clips as shown in the illustration to remove the assist grip assembly.

    5. Remove the 2 clips from the vehicle body.

    2. For Front Pillar RH Side:
      1. Remove the protective cover.

    3. For Windshield Glass Side:

    7. For Normal Roof:
      1. Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips.

        Remove in this Direction - -
      2. Disengage the 2 guides and 2 fasteners.
      3. Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the front passenger door as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or vehicle interior.

    8. For Glass Roof:
      1. Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips.

        Remove in this Direction - -
      2. Disengage the 2 guides and 18 fasteners.
      3. Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the front passenger door as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or vehicle interior.

  61. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SIDE RAIL SPACER LH 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the rear No. 2 side rail spacer LH is necessary.

    1. Disengage the 2 claws and guide to remove the rear No. 2 side rail spacer LH.

  62. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SIDE RAIL SPACER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
