Installation [07/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FLOOR UNDER WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    1. Install a new 4 clamps.

    2. Install the 3 nuts and 4 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

    3. Install the HV floor under wire to the rear traction motor with transaxle assembly with the 2 bolts.

      *a Waterproof Seal

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Make sure that the connector is fully engaged.
      • Do not damage the terminals, interlock connector or rear traction motor with transaxle assembly during installation.
      • Do not touch the waterproof seal or terminals of the connector.
      • Do not allow any foreign matter or water to enter the rear traction motor with transaxle assembly.
      • Although the connector may feel loose, this is not due to a malfunction.
    4. Engage the clamp.

    5. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

    6. Engage the clamp.
    7. Insert the HV floor under wire into the floor panel hole and engage the grommet.

    8. Install the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

    9. Install the 2 nuts and HV floor under wire.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

    10. Connect the engine room main wire to the HV floor under wire with the nut.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

    11. Engage the 2 claws.
    12. Engage the guide and 2 claws to install the No. 1 terminal cap.

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 FLOOR UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  3. INSTALL FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2020 - ]

  4. INSTALL FRONT LOWER NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR 
    1. Install the front lower No. 1 floor heat insulator with the bolt, nut and clip.

      Torque: 4.9 N.m (50 kgf/cm, 43 in.lbf) 

  5. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR 
    1. Install the front No. 2 floor heat insulator with the 2 nuts and clip.

      Torque: 4.9 N.m (50 kgf/cm, 43 in.lbf) 

  6. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2020 - ]

  7. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2020 - ]

  8. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26

  9. CONNECT FLOOR UNDER WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    1. Engage the clamp.

    2. Install the HV under floor wire with the nut.

      Torque: 7.55 N.m (77 kgf/cm, 67 in.lbf)

    3. Engage the clamp.
    4. Engage the 3 claws to install the No. 3 relay block cover.

    5. Connect the shield ground to the HV battery.

      *a Shield Ground
    6. Connect the 2 HV battery junction block assembly connectors.
      NOTE:

      Make sure that the connectors are connected securely.

  10. INSTALL NO. 1 HV BATTERY COVER PANEL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  11. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [10/2022 - ]

  12. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  13. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 [10/2022 - ]

  14. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [07/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [12/2021 - ]

  15. INSTALL REAR SEAT BACK HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27 [10/2022 - ]

  16. INSTALL CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  17. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LEG SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  4

  18. INSTALL NO. 1 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD 

    See step  5

  19. INSTALL NO. 3 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD 

    See step  6

  20. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 45 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 45 [10/2022 - ]

  21. INSTALL NO. 2 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 3 battery service cover board.

  22. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  23. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 FLOOR MAT SUPPORT SIDE PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [10/2022 - ]

  24. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32 [10/2022 - ]

  25. INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2020 - ]

  26. INSTALL SPARE WHEEL COVER STOPPER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 56 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 56 [10/2022 - ]

  27. CONNECT FLOOR UNDER WIRE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  28. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    NOTE:

    Do not allow any foreign matter or water to enter the inverter with converter assembly.

    1. Connect the inverter with converter assembly connector and move the lock lever as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:
      • Do not touch the waterproof seal or terminals of the connectors.
      • To prevent damage due to static electricity, do not touch the terminals of the disconnected connectors.
      • Do not damage the terminals, connector housing or inverter with converter assembly when connecting the connectors.

  29. INSTALL NO. 2 INVERTER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  30. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2020 - ] 

  31. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [07/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to WORK PROCEDURE [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to WORK PROCEDURE [10/2022 - ]
