Installation [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Secure the outer belt anchor bracket sub-assembly in a vise between aluminum plates.
      NOTE:

      Do not overtighten the vise.

    2. Engage the guide.
    3. Install the rear seat outer belt assembly to the outer belt anchor bracket sub-assembly with the nut.

      Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf/cm, 31 ft.lbf) 

  2. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for LH Side) 
    1. Engage the 3 guides and temporarily install the rear seat outer belt assembly with bracket with the 3 bolts.

    2. Install the rear seat outer belt assembly with bracket with the 3 bolts.

      Bolt (1), (2) 

      Torque: 12.5 N.m (127 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

      Bolt (3) 

      Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf/cm, 31 ft.lbf) 

      HINT: 

      Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

    3. Connect the pretensioner connector and lock the locking button as shown in the illustration.

      *a Locking Button
      *b Lock
      NOTE:

      Securely lock the locking button.

    4. Check that the ELR locks.

      Protruding Part
      1. Install the floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly with the bolt.

        Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf/cm, 31 ft.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.

      2. With the rear seat outer belt assembly with bracket installed to the vehicle, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
        NOTE:

        This check should be performed with the rear seat outer belt assembly with bracket installed to the vehicle.

  3. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for RH Side) 
    1. Connect the pretensioner connector and lock the locking button as shown in the illustration.

      *a Locking Button
      *b Lock
      NOTE:

      Securely lock the locking button.

    2. Engage the 3 guides and temporarily install the rear seat outer belt assembly with bracket with the 3 bolts.

    3. Install the rear seat outer belt assembly with bracket with the 3 bolts.

      Bolt (1), (2) 

      Torque: 12.5 N.m (127 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

      Bolt (3) 

      Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf/cm, 31 ft.lbf) 

      HINT: 

      Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

    4. Check that the ELR locks.

      Protruding Part
      1. Install the floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly with the bolt.

        Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf/cm, 31 ft.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.

      2. With the rear seat outer belt assembly with bracket installed to the vehicle, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
        NOTE:

        This check should be performed with the rear seat outer belt assembly with bracket installed to the vehicle.

  4. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [10/2022 - ]

  5. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [10/2022 - ]

  6. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [10/2022 - ]

  7. INSTALL BATTERY HOLE COVER (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 57 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 57 [10/2022 - ]

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  9. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 [10/2022 - ]

  10. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27 [10/2022 - ]

  11. INSTALL CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  1

  12. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  13. INSTALL NO. 3 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44 [10/2022 - ]

  14. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 45 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 45 [10/2022 - ]

  15. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 FLOOR MAT SUPPORT SIDE PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [10/2022 - ]

  16. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32 [10/2022 - ]

  17. INSTALL SPARE WHEEL COVER STOPPER

  18. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side)

  20. CONNECT REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

  21. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK

  22. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

  23. INSTALL REAR SEAT CENTER HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

  25. INSTALL REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD (for LH Side)

  26. INSTALL DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY

  27. INSTALL TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY

  28. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  29. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to WORK PROCEDURE [10/2022 - ]

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

  30. INSTALL BATTERY HOLE COVER
