Disassembly [07/2020 - 12/2021]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [07/2020 - 10/2022]

  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE BATTERY HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL 
    1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 claws to remove the rear door inside handle bezel.

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST COVER 
    1. Remove the rear door armrest cover.

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Apply protective tape to the rear door panel as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the 8 clips as shown in the illustration.

    4. Disengage the 4 claws and 2 guides.

    5. Disconnect the connector.

      *1 Rear Door Inside Locking Cable Assembly
      *2 Rear Door Lock Remote Control Cable Assembly
      Remove in this Direction
    6. Disconnect the rear door lock remote control cable assembly and rear door inside locking cable assembly as shown in the illustration to remove the rear door trim board sub-assembly.
  8. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL 
    1. Remove the 10 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly with rear door armrest base panel.
  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 3 claws to remove the rear door inside handle sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  10. REMOVE REAR DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP 
    1. Using a clip remover with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the clip.

    2. Disengage the guide and disconnect the rear door weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.
    3. Remove the rear door inner glass weatherstrip with rear door front belt seal as shown in the illustration.

  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRONT BELT SEAL 
    1. Remove the rear door front belt seal from the rear door inner glass weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.

  12. REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR BELT SEAL 
    1. Using a clip remover with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the clip.

    2. Disengage the guide and disconnect the rear door weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.
    3. Remove the rear door rear belt seal as shown in the illustration.

  13. REMOVE REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  14. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER 
    1. For Type A:
      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disengage the clamp.
      3. Remove the rear door service hole cover.

        HINT: 

        Remove any remaining butyl tape from the door.

    2. For Type B:
      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disengage the clamp.
      3. Remove the rear door service hole cover.

        HINT: 

        Remove any remaining butyl tape from the door.

  15. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH 
    1. Disengage the 3 claws to remove the rear door frame garnish.

  16. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN 
    1. Remove the rear door glass run.

  17. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Lift up the rear door weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts, screw and rear door window division bar sub-assembly.

  18. REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS 
    1. Remove the rear door quarter window glass as shown in the illustration.

  19. REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW WEATHERSTRIP 
    1. Remove the rear door quarter window weatherstrip from the rear door quarter window glass.

  20. REMOVE HOLE PLUG 
    1. Remove the hole plug.

  21. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the rear power window regulator switch assembly.
    2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    4. Move the rear door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.
    5. Turn the ignition switch off.
    6. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    7. Disconnect the rear power window regulator switch assembly.
    8. Remove the 2 bolts.

      NOTE:

      After the bolts are removed, do not allow the rear door glass sub-assembly to fall.

    9. Remove the rear door glass sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the rear door glass sub-assembly.

  22. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 6 nuts and rear door window regulator assembly.
  23. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  24. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    4. Remove the rear door outside handle assembly as shown in the illustration.

  25. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER 
    1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw.

      HINT: 

      The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the rear door outside handle cover.

  26. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and guide to remove the rear door front outside handle pad.

  27. REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD 
    1. Disengage the 4 guides to remove the rear door rear outside handle pad.

  28. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  29. REMOVE REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt (A), 2 bolts (B) and rear door check assembly.

  30. REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP 
    1. Using a clip remover with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 clips.

    2. Using a clip remover with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 22 clips and remove the rear door weatherstrip.

  31. REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 3 WEATHERSTRIP 
    1. Disengage the 5 clips to remove the rear door No. 3 weatherstrip.

  32. REMOVE DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING CLIP 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the door window frame moulding clip.
