Removal [06/2020 - 12/2021]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [06/2020 - 10/2022]

    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [06/2020 - 10/2022]

  2. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER WITH PUMP ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - 12/2021] 

  3. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  4. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  6. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 2 clamps to separate the wire harness from the brake pedal support assembly.

    2. Remove the 2 clips from the brake pedal support assembly.

    3. Remove the bolt and separate the brake pedal support assembly while avoiding the stud bolts of the brake master cylinder support base.

      NOTE:

      Be careful not to deform the bracket of the instrument panel reinforcement assembly.

  7. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL PAD 
    1. Remove the brake pedal pad from the brake pedal support assembly.
