Installation [06/2017 - 09/2019]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL SIDE NO. 2 AIRBAG SENSOR 
    1. Check that the ignition switch is off.
    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
      WARNING:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    3. Before connecting the connector, check that the position of the white housing lock is as shown in the illustration.

    4. Engage the claw and install the side No. 2 airbag sensor with the bolt.

      Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • If the side No. 2 airbag sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace it with a new one.
      • When installing the side No. 2 airbag sensor, make sure that the SRS wiring does not interfere with or is not pinched between other parts.
      • Make sure that the side No. 2 airbag sensor claw is securely inserted into the body hole.
    5. Connect the connector to the side No. 2 airbag sensor.

      Connect in this Direction - -
      NOTE:

      When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

      HINT: 

      • Be sure to connect the connector until it is locked (when locking, make sure that a click sound can be heard).
      • When the connector is locked, the white housing lock will slide. Do not hold the white housing lock or the part (A) as it may result in an insecure connection.
    6. Check that there is no looseness in the installed parts of the side No. 2 airbag sensor.
  2. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  4. CONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP (for Fold Down Seat Type) 
  5. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK 

    for Fold Down Seat Type: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

    for Fixed Seat Type: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  6. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY 

    for TMC Made Fold Down Seat Type: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

    for TMMK Made Fold Down Seat Type: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

    for TMMK Made Fixed Seat Type: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  7. CONNECT REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    for TMC Made: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    for A25A-FKS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [03/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2018 - ]

    for 2GR-FKS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2018 - 09/2019]

  9. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK 

    Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [03/2017 - ]

  10. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    Refer to OPERATION CHECK [06/2017 - 09/2019]
