Removal [03/2017 - 06/2017]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - 06/2017] 

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - 09/2019]

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - 09/2019]

  4. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - 06/2017]

  5. DISCONNECT REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  6. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  7. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  8. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  10. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  11. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  14. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  16. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  18. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32

  19. REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - 06/2017]

  20. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR CAUTION PLATE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  21. DISCONNECT FRONT FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY 
    1. For LH Side:
      1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 front floor carpet clips.

        Fastener - -
      2. Disengage the 3 guides.
      3. Disengage each fastener and turn back the front floor carpet assembly as shown in the illustration.
    2. For RH Side:
      1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 front floor carpet clips.

      2. Disengage the 3 guides.
      3. Turn back the front floor carpet assembly as shown in the illustration.
  22. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 AIR DUCT 
    1. Disengage the 4 claws to remove the rear No. 2 air duct as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
  23. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 AIR DUCT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  24. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT (for Dual Type) 
    1. Remove the clip.

      Remove in this Direction

      Remove the No. 1 console box duct as shown in the illustration.

  25. REMOVE NO. 2 INDOOR ELECTRICAL KEY ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (w/ Smart Key System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  26. SEPARATE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Separate the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the No. 1 parking brake pull rod sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      *a Turn
      *b Hold
  27. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - 06/2017]

  28. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 4 clamps.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts, and separate the brake pedal support base from the vehicle body.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the air conditioner unit assembly when separating the brake pedal support base from the vehicle.

      HINT: 

      Separate the brake pedal support base just enough to gain access to the nut of the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

    3. Remove the nut.

    4. Remove the 3 bolts, nut and No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.
