Removal [09/2019 - 12/2021]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [10/2017 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [08/2020 - 12/2021]

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 
  4. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
  5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and No. 1 air cleaner inlet from the upper radiator support sub-assembly and air cleaner case sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER UPPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and front bumper upper reinforcement sub-assembly from the vehicle.

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE RETAINER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  10. REMOVE HOOD LOCK NUT CAP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 
  12. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the hood control cable sub-assembly from the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

    2. Disengage the 3 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the horn and hood lock support assembly.

    3. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the wire harnesses from the cooling fan ECU and fan shroud.

    4. Remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support sub-assembly together with hood lock support sub-assembly from the vehicle.

  13. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE 
    1. Disengage the 4 claws to remove the No. 2 radiator air guide from the radiator assembly.

  14. DISCONNECT RADIATOR PIPE 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts, and disconnect the radiator pipe from the fan shroud.

  15. DISCONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.

  16. DISCONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Disengage the 4 clamps from the fan shroud.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.
  17. DISCONNECT NO. 3 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  18. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Disengage the clamp from the fan shroud.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.
  19. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  20. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT (for Type A) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  21. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT (for Type B) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24

  22. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32

  23. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33

  24. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [09/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [08/2020 - 12/2021]

  25. DISCONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A (for VALEO Made) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [09/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [08/2020 - 12/2021]

  26. DISCONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A (for DENSO Made) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [09/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [08/2020 - 12/2021]

  27. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [09/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [08/2020 - 12/2021]

  28. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the radiator assembly together with the fan shroud assembly from the vehicle.
    2. Disengage the 2 claws.

    3. Disengage the 2 guides, and remove the fan shroud assembly from the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when removing the fan shroud assembly.

  29. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
    1. Remove the 2 radiator support cushions from the radiator assembly.
  30. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT GROMMET 
    1. Remove the 2 radiator support grommets from the radiator assembly.
  31. REMOVE RADIATOR DRAIN COCK PLUG 
    1. Remove the radiator drain cock plug.
    2. Remove the O-ring from the radiator drain cock plug.
