Removal [02/2017 - 12/2017]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION WARNING:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.
Refer to PRECAUTION [02/2017 - 10/2017] , or refer to PRECAUTION [10/2017 - 09/2019]
NOTE:After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - STEP 2
WARNING:NOTE:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [02/2017 - 10/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2017 - 05/2018]
- REMOVE FUSE BOX OPENING COVER
Refer to REMOVAL [02/2017 - ]
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - STEP 4 [02/2017 - 10/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - STEP 4 [10/2017 - 09/2019]
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER CENTER FINISH PANEL
Refer to PROCEDURE - STEP 5 [02/2017 - 10/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - STEP 5 [10/2017 - 09/2019]
- REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY WITH DOOR WARNING:
When storing the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly with door, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.
Deployment Side - Check that the ignition switch off.
- Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Disengage the hooks to separate the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly with door.NOTE:
When separating the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly with door, do not pull the airbag wire harness.
*a Protective Tape *b Airbag Connector *c Airbag Connector Lock Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, release the airbag connector lock.
- Disconnect the airbag connector to remove the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly with door.NOTE:
When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
