Removal [04/2018 -]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    1. w/o Navigation System:
      NOTE:
      • When replacing the radio and display receiver assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a radio and display receiver assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the following may occur:
        • A communication malfunction DTC may be stored.
        • The radio and display receiver assembly may not operate normally.

      for Gasoline Model: Refer to PRECAUTION [04/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to PRECAUTION [08/2021 -]

      for HV Model: Refer to PRECAUTION [04/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to PRECAUTION [08/2021 -]

    2. w/ Navigation System:
      NOTE:
      • When replacing the radio and display receiver assembly or navigation ECU, always replace it with a new one. If a radio and display receiver assembly or navigation ECU which was installed to another vehicle is used, the following may occur:
        • A communication malfunction DTC may be stored.
        • The radio and display receiver assembly or navigation ECU may not operate normally.
      • After replacing the radio and display receiver assembly, if "New software is not compatible with the system. Contact your dealer." is displayed on the multi-display, update the software of the navigation ECU.

      for Gasoline Model: Refer to PRECAUTION [04/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to PRECAUTION [08/2021 -]

      for HV Model: Refer to PRECAUTION [04/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to PRECAUTION [08/2021 -]

  2. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [04/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2020 -]

  3. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [04/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2020 -]

  4. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [04/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2020 -]

  5. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX POCKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [04/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [08/2020 -]

  6. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [04/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [08/2020 -]

  7. REMOVE CENTER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [04/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [08/2021 -]

  8. REMOVE CENTER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [04/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [08/2021 -]

  9. REMOVE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts.

    2. Pull the radio and display receiver assembly with bracket toward the rear of the vehicle to disengage the 5 clips.

      Remove in this Direction
    3. Disconnect each connector and remove the radio and display receiver assembly with bracket.
  10. REMOVE INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIO RECEIVER BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 4 screws and No. 1 radio receiver bracket.

  12. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIO RECEIVER BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 4 screws and No. 2 radio receiver bracket.

  13. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 8 claws and remove the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly as shown in the illustration.
