Removal [10/2022 - 11/2023]: Procedure

- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
- DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23
- REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20
- DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
- REMOVE PURGE VALVE (PURGE VSV)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17
- REMOVE AIR TUBE ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8
- REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY GUARD
- REMOVE EFI FUEL PIPE CLAMP
- DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the fuel tube sub-assembly from the fuel delivery pipe.

- Disconnect the fuel tube sub-assembly from the fuel delivery pipe.
- REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE
- Remove the 2 bolts and fuel delivery pipe with the 4 port fuel injector assemblies from the cylinder head sub-assembly.NOTE:
- If fuel intrudes into the combustion chamber, there may be adverse effects to the engine main body.
- Be careful not to drop the port fuel injector assemblies when removing the fuel delivery pipe.
- Remove the 2 bolts and fuel delivery pipe with the 4 port fuel injector assemblies from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
- REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY SPACER
- REMOVE INJECTOR VIBRATION INSULATOR
- REMOVE NO. 5 ENGINE WIRE
- REMOVE PORT FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY
