Installation [12/2015 - 08/2016]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1) 
    1. Using SST, install the No. 2 air fuel ratio sensor (for bank 1 sensor 1) to the exhaust manifold RH (TWC: front catalyst).

      *a Fulcrum Length of SST
      *b Fulcrum Length of Torque Wrench
      • SST: 09224-00010 

      Specified tightening torque 

      Torque: 44 N*m (449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace No. 2 air fuel ratio sensor (for bank 1 sensor 1).

      HINT: 

      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench (Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2015 - 08/2016] ).
      • When using SST (fulcrum length of 30 mm (1.18 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.)): 40 N*m (408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf).
  2. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  3. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  4. INSTALL MANIFOLD STAY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  5. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 2WD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  6. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  7. INSTALL PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for AWD) 

    (Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2015 - ] )

  8. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  9. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  10. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 1) 
    1. Using SST, install the air fuel ratio sensor (for bank 2 sensor 1) to the exhaust manifold LH (TWC: front catalyst).

    2. Connect the air fuel ratio sensor (for bank 2 sensor 1) connector.
    3. Engage the 3 clamps to connect the air fuel ratio sensor (for bank 2 sensor 1) connector to the wire harness clamp bracket and 2 case clamps.
  11. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK 
  12. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 95

  13. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER ASSEMBLY SEAL 

    See step  5
