Removal [11/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2016 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2017 - ] ).

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 )

  4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH 

    (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 )

  5. SEPARATE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
  6. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33 )

  7. REMOVE PARKING ASSIST ECU (w/ Panoramic View Monitor System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  8. REMOVE MAYDAY ECU ASSEMBLY (w/ Mayday System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  9. REMOVE ECU INTEGRATION BOX RH 
    1. Disconnect each connector.

    2. Disengage the 2 clamps.

      HINT: 

      If the vehicle is equipped with a wire harness clamp, disengage the clamp.

    3. Remove the 2 nuts and bolt and ECU integration box RH with each ECU.
  10. REMOVE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws to remove the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly).
