Disassembly [08/2015 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - 08/2017] , or refer to PRECAUTION [08/2017 - 08/2019] ).

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2018 - 08/2019] ).

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH (for 14 Speakers) 
    1. Disengage the 3 clips and remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish.

    2. Disconnect the connector.
  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH 
    1. Disengage the 3 clips and remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish.

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG 
    1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the front door inside handle bezel plug.

  6. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL 
    1. Disengage the 2 clips and 5 claws and remove the front armrest base upper panel.

    2. Disconnect the connector.
  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the front door armrest cover.
    2. Remove the 2 screws.
    3. Disengage the 10 clips.

    4. Disconnect the connector.
    5. Disconnect the front door lock remote control cable and front door inside locking cable and remove the front door trim board sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE SEAT MEMORY SWITCH (for Driver Side with Memory) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL 
    1. Remove the 4 screws and remove the front door inside handle bezel.

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 3 screws and remove the front door inside handle sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS INNER WEATHERSTRIP 
    1. Raise the 8 claws of the front door glass inner weatherstrip and then remove the front door glass inner weatherstrip from the front door trim board sub-assembly, as shown in the illustration.

  12. REMOVE SIDE AIR BAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  13. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  14. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS OUTER WEATHERSTRIP ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  16. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side with Memory) 
    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Remove the 2 screws and remove the outer mirror control ECU assembly.
  17. REMOVE FRONT DOOR NO. 1 TRIM BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and remove the front door No. 1 trim bracket.

  18. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER 
    1. Disconnect the connectors and disengage the clamps.

    2. Remove the front door service hole cover.

      NOTE:

      Remove any tape remaining on the door side.

  19. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN 
    1. Remove the front door glass run.

  20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Provisionally install the power window switch.
    2. Move the front door glass until the 2 bolts can be seen through the service holes.
    3. Remove the 2 bolts.
      NOTE:

      Do not drop or damage the front door glass subassembly when removing the bolts.

    4. Remove the front door glass sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration.

      NOTE:

      Do not damage the front door glass subassembly.

    5. Remove the power window switch.
  21. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Loosen bolt A.
    3. Remove the 5 bolts, then remove the front door window regulator sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not drop or damage the front door window regulator sub-assembly when removing the bolts.

      HINT: 

      Remove the front door window regulator sub-assembly through the service hole.

  22. REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRAME FRONT LOWER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and remove the front door frame front lower sub-assembly.

      NOTE:

      Do not drop or damage the front door frame front lower sub-assembly when removing the bolt.

  23. REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRAME REAR LOWER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and remove the front door frame rear lower sub-assembly.

      NOTE:

      Do not drop or damage the front door frame rear lower sub-assembly when removing the bolt.

  24. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 DOOR STIFFENER CUSHION 
    1. Disengage the 2 clips and remove the front No. 1 door stiffener cushion.

  25. REMOVE FRONT DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and bolt and remove the front door check assembly.

  26. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP 
    1. Disengage the 39 clips and remove the front door weatherstrip.

  27. REMOVE FRONT DOOR PANEL PROTECTOR 
    1. Disengage the 8 clips and remove the front door panel protector.

  28. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER 
    1. Remove the hole plug.

    2. Using "TORX" socket wrench T30, loosen the screw and remove the front door outside handle cover.
  29. REMOVE DOOR LOCK CYLINDER (for Driver Side) 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the door lock cylinder.

  30. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  31. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the front door handle assembly by sliding and pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow mark in the illustration.

  32. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE REAR PAD 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front door outside handle rear pad.

  33. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRONT PAD 
    1. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the front door outside handle front pad.

  34. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using "TORX" socket wrench T30, loosen the screw.

    2. Disengage the claw and slide the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly to remove it.
  35. REMOVE CUSHION 
    1. Remove the cushions from the door panel.
