Removal [07/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:
    • Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing.

      Refer to PRECAUTION [07/2020 - ]

    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  10. REMOVE DECK TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  11. REMOVE REAR DECK TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  12. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  13. REMOVE REAR SEAT CENTER HEADREST ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  14. DISCONNECT REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  15. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  16. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  17. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  18. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  19. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
    1. Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip RH.
  20. REMOVE REAR UNDER SIDE COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33

  21. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34

  22. REMOVE REAR PILLAR COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35

  23. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 36

  24. REMOVE NO. 1 TONNEAU COVER HOLDER CAP 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 37

  25. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER HOOK A 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  26. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  27. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  28. REMOVE NO. 1 HYBRID BATTERY INTAKE DUCT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34

  29. REMOVE NO. 2 HYBRID BATTERY INTAKE DUCT

  30. DISCONNECT AC CHARGER INLET CABLE (w/o CABLE EV CHARGER LOCK ASSEMBLY)

  31. DISCONNECT AC CHARGER INLET CABLE WITH CABLE EV CHARGER LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ CABLE EV CHARGER LOCK ASSEMBLY)

  32. REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID LOCK BRACKET

  33. REMOVE CHARGING PORT OPENING LID LOCK RETAINER 
    1. Turn and remove the charging port opening lid lock retainer as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

      Turn in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
  34. REMOVE CHARGE LID LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the charge lid lock with motor assembly.
