Removal [06/2016 - 03/2017]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work (Refer to INITIALIZATION [06/2016 - 03/2017] ).

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [06/2016 - 03/2017] )

  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL ORNAMENT (w/ Large Ornament Panel) 
    1. Using a molding remover, disengage the 8 clips and 2 claws to remove the instrument panel ornament.

  5. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Large Ornament Panel) 
    1. Using a molding remover, disengage the 2 claws and 4 clips to remove the center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH 
    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 6 claws to remove the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.
  7. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) 
    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 3 claws to remove the upper instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly.
  8. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

  9. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  10. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  11. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH 
    1. Using a molding remover, disengage the claw and 4 clips to remove the instrument side panel RH.

  12. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH 
    1. Using a molding remover, disengage the claw and 4 clips to remove the instrument side panel LH.

  13. REMOVE METER HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 12 claws, and then pull out the meter hood sub-assembly diagonally upwards to remove it.
  14. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL METER ORNAMENT 
    1. Disengage the 6 claws and 2 clips.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws that are holding the upper instrument panel meter ornament and steering column cover together.

    3. Disconnect the connector to remove the upper instrument panel meter ornament.
  15. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  16. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the claw to release the glove compartment door damper.

      *1 Glove Compartment Door Damper
    2. Release the 2 stoppers to open the glove compartment door assembly until it is horizontal.

      *1 Stopper
    3. Pull the glove compartment door assembly horizontally backward to disengage the 2 hinges and remove the glove compartment door assembly.
      NOTE:

      Be sure to pull the glove compartment door assembly horizontally to remove it.

  17. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR DAMPER 
    1. Disengage the claw to remove the glove compartment door damper.

  18. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 7 screws.

    2. Remove the 2 screws and nut.

    3. Disconnect the connector.
    4. Disengage the 12 claws and clamp to remove the lower instrument panel sub-assembly.
