Removal [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2014 - ] ).

  2. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE 

    (Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2014 - ] )

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  5. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] )

  6. REMOVE FRONT OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  7. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  9. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the ventilation hose from the intake air surge tank assembly.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the union to check valve hose from the intake manifold.
    3. Disconnect the union to check valve hose from the hose clamp.
    4. Disconnect the connector and wire harness clamp from the throttle body assembly.

    5. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses.
    6. Disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose.
    7. Disconnect the connector from the intake air control valve assembly.

    8. Remove the bolt and vacuum hose clamp from the throttle body bracket.

    9. Remove the bolt and separate the throttle body bracket from the intake air surge tank assembly.

    10. Remove the bolt and separate the No. 1 surge tank stay from the intake air surge tank assembly.

    11. Remove the 2 nuts from the intake air surge tank assembly.

    12. Using a 5 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 4 bolts.
    13. Remove the intake air surge tank assembly and 3 gaskets.

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH (for Engine Mounting Stay Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH (for Intake Manifold Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  12. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  13. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  14. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD 
    1. Remove the 6 bolts, 4 nuts and intake manifold from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the 2 gaskets from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
