Removal [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH 
  2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH 
  3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH 
  4. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH 
  5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  6. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector and wire harness clamp.

    2. Disconnect the 3 vacuum hoses from the intake air surge tank assembly and air cleaner cap sub-assembly.

    3. Slide the clip and disconnect the ventilation hose from the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.
    4. Loosen the hose clamp and separate the air cleaner cap sub-assembly from the throttle body with motor assembly.

    5. Release the 2 clamps and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.
  8. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses from the throttle body with motor assembly.

    2. Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector and wire harness clamp.

    3. Remove the 4 bolts, throttle body with motor assembly and wire harness clamp stay.
  9. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET 
    1. Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake air surge tank assembly.
