Reassembly [06/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FRONT UPPER SEAT TRACK RAIL COVER LH 
    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the front upper seat track rail cover LH to the front seat adjuster sub-assembly.
  2. INSTALL FRONT UPPER SEAT TRACK RAIL COVER RH 
    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the front upper seat track rail cover RH to the front seat adjuster sub-assembly.
  3. INSTALL REAR UPPER SEAT TRACK RAIL COVER LH (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the rear upper seat track rail cover LH to the front seat adjuster sub-assembly.
  4. INSTALL REAR UPPER SEAT TRACK RAIL COVER RH (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the rear upper seat track rail cover RH to the front seat adjuster sub-assembly.
  5. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage each hook to install the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly to the front seat adjuster sub-assembly.
  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Vertical Adjuster) 
    1. Install the front seat cushion panel sub-assembly to the front seat adjuster sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HOOK (w/o Lumbar Support) 
    1. Install the 2 front seatback hooks to the separate type front seatback spring assembly.
  8. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HOOK (w/ Lumbar Support) 
    1. Install the 2 front seatback hooks to the lumbar support adjuster assembly.
  9. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) 

    See step  2

  10. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side without Lumbar Support) 
    1. Engage the 2 guides to install the separate type front seatback spring assembly.
    2. Engage the 2 claws.
  11. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side with Lumbar Support)

  12. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the front seatback frame sub-assembly to the front seat frame with adjuster assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 45 N*m (458 kgf*cm, 33 ft.*lbf) 

  13. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System) 
    1. Engage the clamp to install the seat heater control sub-assembly.
  14. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SEAT WIRE 
    1. Connect each connector and engage each clamp to install the front No. 2 seat wire.
  15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE 
    1. Connect each connector and engage each clamp to install the front seat wire.
  16. INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) 
    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the No. 2 front seat cushion shield sub-assembly.

    2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.
    3. Install the screw.

      Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf) 

  17. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) 
    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the No. 1 front seat cushion shield sub-assembly.

    2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.
    3. Install the screw.

      Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf) 

  18. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. w/o Vertical Adjuster:
      1. Engage the 2 claws to install the front seat lower cushion shield LH.
    2. w/ Vertical Adjuster:
      1. Engage the claw to install the front seat lower cushion shield LH.

      2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.
      3. Install the screw.

        Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf) 

  19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. w/o Vertical Adjuster:
      1. Engage the 2 claws to install the front seat lower cushion shield RH.
    2. w/ Vertical Adjuster:
      1. Engage the 2 claws to install the front seat lower cushion shield RH.

      2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.
  20. INSTALL SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Install the seat climate control blower with the 3 nuts.

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the connector.

  21. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Engage the 2 clips to install the seat cushion climate control duct.
    2. Engage the 2 claws to install the seat cushion climate control duct to the seat climate control blower.
  22. INSTALL SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and 2 guides to install the seatback climate control blower.
    2. Connect the connector.

    3. Engage the 2 clamps.
  23. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

  24. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER 
    1. Engage the 2 fasteners to install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad.

    2. Using hog ring pliers, install 2 new hog rings.
      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.
      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.
  25. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  26. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD 
    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seatback cover with pad.
    2. Engage each claw to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.
    3. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
      1. Engage the 6 clips to install the seatback climate control blower to the separate type front seatback pad.
    4. Engage the 2 hooks.

      WARNING:
      • For vehicles with a front seat airbag assembly, the separate type front seatback cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the front seat airbag assembly may not deploy properly.
      • Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the nut.
      • Engage the hooks securely.
    5. Turn back the separate type front seatback cover.

    6. Engage the 2 fasteners.

    9. Engage the claw and 2 clamps to install the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

  27. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and 2 hooks to install the front seatback board sub-assembly.
    2. Install the 2 screws.

      Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf) 

  28. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

  29. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER 
    1. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 12 new hog rings.

      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.
      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.
  30. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (w/o Variable Seat Cushion System) 
    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.
    2. w/o Lumbar Support:
      1. Engage each hook.

    3. w/ Lumbar Support:
      1. Engage each hook.

  31. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (w/ Variable Seat Cushion System) 
    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.
    2. Engage each hook.

    4. Engage the 4 hooks.

      1. Engage the 4 claws to install the front lumbar power seat switch to the front seat cushion shield.
    2. Engage the clamp.

    4. Engage the 2 claws and guide to install the front seat cushion shield.
    5. Install the screw.

      Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf) 

  38. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (w/ Seat Position Memory System) 
    1. Connect the connector to the front lumbar power seat switch.

    2. Engage the clamp.

    3. Connect the 2 connectors to the front power seat switch.
    4. w/o Variable Seat Cushion System:
      1. Engage the 2 claws and guide to install the front seat cushion shield.
      2. Install the screw.

        Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf) 

    5. w/ Variable Seat Cushion System:
      1. Connect the connector.

      2. Engage the claw and 3 guides to install the front seat cushion shield.
      3. Install the screw.

        Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf) 

  39. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Engage the 4 claws to install the reclining power seat switch knob.
  40. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Engage the 4 claws to install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
  41. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP 
    1. Install the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.
  42. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  43. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  44. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD 
    1. Engage the guide to install the front seat inner cushion shield.
    2. Install the 2 screws.

      Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf) 

  45. CONNECT FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 hooks to connect each rubber band of the front seatback board sub-assembly.
  46. INSTALL OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
