FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): Reassembly: Reassembly

WARNING:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT: 



  1. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the front seatback spring assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf)

  2. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD LH 
    1. Engage the hook and install the seat cushion lower shield LH.

    2. Tighten the screw.
  3. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Driver Side) 
    1. Install the seat cushion edge protector LH.

    2. Tighten the screw.
  5. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Driver Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Install the seat cushion edge protector LH.

    2. Tighten the screw.
  7. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Front Passenger Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  8. INSTALL SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER 
    1. Engage the claw and install the seat reclining adjuster inside cover.

  9. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH 
    1. Engage the claw and install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  10. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Set the seat cushion heater with the name stamp side facing the seat cushion cover.

    2. Install the seat cushion heater with new 33 tack pins.
  12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER 
    1. Using hog ring pliers, install the front seat cushion cover with 16 new hog rings.

      *1 New Hog Ring
      *2 Hog Ring Pliers
      NOTE:
      • Do not soil or scratch the front cushion cover.
      • When installing hog rings, minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
  13. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD 
    1. Engage the 7 hooks and install the seat cushion cover with the pad.

    2. Engage the 2 hooks.

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  15. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER 
    1. Using hog ring pliers, install the front seatback cover with 4 new hog rings.

      *1 New Hog Ring
      *2 Hog Ring Pliers
      *3 Fastening Tape
    2. Engage the fastening tape.
      NOTE:
      • Do not soil or scratch the front seatback cover.
      • When installing hog rings, minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
    3. Install the seatback cover and pad with the nut.

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

  16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT 
    1. Align the protruding portion of the front seat headrest support with the installation groove of the front seatback frame.

      *1 Protruding
    2. Engage the 2 claws and install the front seat headrest support.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for both sides.

    3. Using hog ring pliers, install the front seatback with 3 new hog rings.

    4. Engage the 4 clamps and install the side airbag wire.

  17. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT SEATBACK HOOK 
    1. Install the No. 1 front seatback hook with the screw.

    2. Engage the 4 claws and install the No. 1 front seatback hook.

  18. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the front seat armrest assembly with the bolt.

      Torque: 19 N*m (194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf) 

  19. INSTALL SEAT ARMREST COVER LH 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the seat armrest cover LH.

  20. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL 
    1. Engage the clip and install the seat heater control.

  21. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE 
    1. Connect the 2 connectors.

    2. Using hog ring pliers, install the front seatback cover with 3 new hog rings.

      *1 New Hog Ring
      *2 Hog Ring Pliers
    3. for Driver Side:

      1. Engage the 4 connectors and 8 wire clamps, and install the front seat wire.
    4. for Front Passenger Side:

      1. Engage the 8 connectors and 8 wire clamps, and install the front seat wire.
    5. Install the seat band.

  22. INSTALL LUMBAR SWITCH 
    1. Engage the 4 claws and install the lumbar switch.

    2. Connect the lumbar switch connector.
  23. INSTALL POWER SEAT SWITCH 
    1. for Seat Position Memory System:

      1. Install the power seat switch with the 3 screws.
      2. Connect the 2 connectors.
    2. except Seat Position Memory System:

      1. Install the power seat switch with the 3 screws.
      2. Connect the connector.
  24. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH 
    1. Engage the 3 wire harness clamps and connect the seat wire connector.

    2. Engage the 3 claws to close the wire harness cover.
    3. Connect the lifter motor connector.
    4. Engage the 3 claws, clip, guide and install the front seat cushion inner shield LH.

  25. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Engage the 4 claws and install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  26. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Engage the 4 claws and install the reclining power seat switch knob.

  27. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  28. INSTALL SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  29. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 6
  30. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD RH 
    1. Engage the clip and 5 claws, and install the front seat cushion inner shield RH.

  31. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD 
    1. Engage the 2 clips.

    2. Engage the 4 claws and install the No. 1 front seat inner cushion shield.
  32. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  33. INSTALL SEAT LEG COVER LH 
    1. Install the seat leg cover LH with the screw.

    2. Install the clip.
  34. INSTALL SEAT LEG COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  35. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LEG COVER LH 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the front seat leg cover LH.

    2. Tighten the screw.
  36. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LEG COVER RH
