Brake Pedal: Installation

INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY
1. Install the brake pedal support assembly with the 4 nuts.
  Torque: 14 N*m (145 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf)

2. Install the brake pedal support reinforcement set bolt.
  Torque: 16 N*m (163 kgf*cm, 12 ft.*lbf)

3. Tighten the bolt and nut.
  Torque: 34 N*m (350 kgf*cm, 25 ft.*lbf)

INSTALL PUSH ROD PIN
1. Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the inner surface of the hole on the brake pedal lever.
2. Set the master cylinder push rod clevis in place, insert the push rod pin from the outside of the vehicle and then install a new clip.

INSTALL STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
1. Install the stop light switch (See INSTALLATION ).
2. Connect the stop light switch connector.

CHECK BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT (See ADJUSTMENT )
CHECK PEDAL FREE PLAY (See ADJUSTMENT )
CHECK PEDAL RESERVE DISTANCE (See ADJUSTMENT )
