KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side): Installation

  1. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector.
      NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
    2. Install the driver side knee airbag with the 5 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

  2. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL  (See INSTALLATION )
  3. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  4. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUBASSEMBLY LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  7. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  9. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check the SRS warning light (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM  ).
