Water Pump: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT  (See COOLANT )
  4. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

  5. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  7. REMOVE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 7 bolts, water pump and water pump gasket.
