FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat): Disassembly

  1. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP 
    1. Remove the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.

  2. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE 
    1. Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

  3. REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB CAP 
    1. Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the vertical seat adjuster knob cap.

  4. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and the vertical adjusting handle.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD 
    1. Remove the 3 screws.
    2. Disengage the claw.
    3. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the front seat cushion shield.

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 SEAT TRACK LOWER SPACER 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and the No. 1 seat track lower spacer.
  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Disengage the claw.

    3. Separate the guide and remove the front seat cushion inner shield as shown in the illustration.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 SEAT TRACK LOWER SPACER 
    1. Remove the screw and the No. 2 seat track lower spacer.

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD 
    1. Disengage the 2 hooks.

    2. Remove the 2 hog rings.

    3. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

    4. Disengage the hooks and remove the front seat cushion cover with pad as shown in the illustration.
  11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR 
    1. Remove the 2 front seat cushion edge protectors.

  12. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER 
    1. Remove the 10 hog rings and the separate type front seat cushion cover.

  13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System) 
    1. Cut off the 8 tack pins and remove the front seat cushion heater assembly.

  14. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD 
    1. Remove the 4 hog rings.

    2. Remove the 3 hog rings.

    3. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
      1. Turn back the separate type front seatback cover to remove the nut, and separate the bracket of the separate type front seatback cover.

    4. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.
    5. Remove the front seatback cover with pad from the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

  15. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER 
    1. Remove the 4 hog rings and the separate type front seatback cover.

  16. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System) 
    1. Cut off the 4 tack pins and remove the front seatback heater assembly.

  17. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT PLATE (for TMMC, NUMMI Made) 
    1. Disengage the 2 hooks and remove the lumbar support plate.

  18. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Disengage the guide.
    3. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
      1. Disengage the clamp and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  19. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH 
    1. Remove the screw and the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  20. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Disengage the guide and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

  21. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH 
    1. Remove the screw and the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

  22. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH 
    1. Disengage the claw and remove the front seat lower cushion shield LH as shown in the illustration.

  23. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH 
    1. Disengage the claw and remove the front seat lower cushion shield RH as shown in the illustration.

  24. REMOVE SEAT TRACK CONTROL CABLE CLAMP 
    1. Disengage the clamp and remove the seat track control cable clamp.

  25. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER 
    1. Disengage the claw as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disengage the claw and remove the front seat outer track bracket cover as shown in the illustration.

  26. REMOVE ACTIVE HEADREST UPPER UNIT (w/ Active Headrest) 
    1. Remove the nut and disconnect the cable from the active headrest upper unit as shown in the illustration.
    2. Remove the 4 nuts and the active headrest upper unit.

  27. REMOVE ACTIVE HEADREST LOWER UNIT (w/ Active Headrest) 
    1. Remove the clamp.
    2. Remove the 2 nuts and the active headrest lower unit.
  28. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)  (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
  29. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR  (See REMOVAL )

  30. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Disengage the 8 clamps and remove the front seat wire.
