Air Conditioning (Except Hybrid): Condenser: Removal

  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM  (See REFRIGERANT  )
  2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  7. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge tube sub-assembly from the condenser.
    2. Remove the O-ring from the discharge tube sub-assembly.
      NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  8. DISCONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A from the condenser.
    2. Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.
      NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  9. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts.

    2. Remove the cooler condenser assembly as shown below.
