Inspection Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: It is necessary to register an ID code after replacing the tire pressure monitor valve sub-assembly and/or the tire pressure monitor ECU (see REGISTRATION  ).
  1. PERFORM FORCED TRANSMISSION OF TRANSMITTER ID OF ALL WHEELS
    1. Remove the valve cores of the wheels to rapidly reduce the pressure of all tires to 120 kPa (1.2 kgf/cm2 , 17 psi).

      HINT:

The transmitter ID can be forcibly transmitted by rapidly reducing tire pressure.

  2. CHECK DTC
    1. Check for DTC (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).

      OK:

      DTC is not output.

OK: SET TIRE PRESSURE TO NORMAL VALUE (TRANSMITTER STOP CONDITION IS COMPLETELY RESET)

    NG: GO TO NEXT STEP

  3. SET TIRE PRESSURE TO NORMAL VALUE
    1. Set the tire pressure of all wheels (including the spare tire) to the specified value.

  4. PERFORM FORCED TRANSMISSION OF TRANSMITTER ID
    1. Perform forced transmission of the transmitter ID by performing the following: Set the tire pressure to the specified value and rotate the tire 90 to 270 degrees. Rapidly reduce the tire pressure of all wheels.
  5. CHECK DTC
