Inspection Procedure

- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
).

B: REPAIR CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )
A: Go to next step
- Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
).
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (BRAKE WARNING LIGHT)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the tester on.
- Select the following menu items: Body / Combination Meter / Active Test.
ACTIVE TEST: ABS
ABS ACTIVE TEST REFERENCETester Display Test Part Diagnostic Note Indicat. Lamp Brake Turns BRAKE warning light ON and OFF Observe combination meter - Check that the BRAKE warning light turns on and off in the combination meter using the Techstream.
OK:
The BRAKE warning light turns ON and OFF in accordance with the Techstream operation.
OK: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR (See REMOVAL )
NG: Go to next step
- INSPECT COMBINATION METER
- Inspect the combination meter (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
or
ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
).
