Air Conditioning Unit: Installation

INSTALL AIR CONDITIONER UNIT ASSEMBLY
1. Install the A/C unit with the bolt and nut.
  Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT
1. Install the instrument panel reinforcement with the 6 bolts.
  Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)

2. Install the 3 bolts.
  Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

3. Install the 4 bolts and connect the ground wire.

4. Attach the 12 clamps.

INSTALL DRAIN COOLER HOSE
1. Install the drain hose.

INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
1. Install the A/C amplifier with the screw.
2. Connect the connector.

3. Attach the 2 clamps to the amplifier.

INSTALL AIR DUCT
1. Attach the 2 claws and install the air duct.

INSTALL REAR AIR DUCT
1. Attach the 3 claws and install the air duct rear.

2. Attach the 2 clamps and install the wire harness.

INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACE ASSEMBLY
1. Install the instrument panel brace with the bolt, nut and screw.

2. Install the clamp and connect the wire harness.

3. Reposition the floor carpet.

INSTALL DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY
1. Attach the 3 claws and install the defroster nozzle assembly lower.
INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL
1. Install the lower instrument panel (see INSTALLATION ).
INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL
1. Install the upper instrument panel (see INSTALLATION ).
INSTALL STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY
1. Install the steering column (see INSTALLATION ).
CONNECT HEATER WATER OUTLET HOSE
1. Connect the water hose and attach the clip.

CONNECT HEATER WATER INLET HOSE
HINT:

Use the same procedures described for the water outlet hose.
CONNECT TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the pipe.
2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to new 2 O-rings and the fitting surface of the suction tube and liquid tube.
  Compressor oil:
  
  ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
3. Install the 2 O-rings on the suction tube and liquid tube.
4. Connect the suction tube and liquid tube.
  HINT:
  
  After the connection, check that the claw of the piping clamp is engaged.
5. Install the plate with the bolt.
  Torque: 9,8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
1. Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to the following procedures (see ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION ,REPLACEMENT ).
CHARGE REFRIGERANT (See REPLACEMENT )
WARM UP ENGINE (See REPLACEMENT )
INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK
INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK (See REPLACEMENT )
