REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Hatchback 5 Door): Removal

CAUTION: Always use "Torx" socket wrench E10 when removing the rear seat.
  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  2. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE NO. 1 REAR SEAT LEG COVER (for 60/40 Split Seat Type) 
    1. for RH side:
      1. Remove the No. 1 rear seat leg cover (See REMOVAL ).
    2. for LH side:
      1. Remove the No. 1 rear seat leg cover (See REMOVAL ).
  7. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR SEAT LEG COVER (for 60/40 Split Seat Type)  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for 60/40 Split Seat Type)  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (for 60/40 Split Seat Type)  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Hold Down Seat Type)  (See REMOVAL )
  11. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Hold Down Seat Type)  REMOVAL 
  12. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH  (See REMOVAL )
  13. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH  (See REMOVAL )
  14. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH (See REMOVAL  )
  15. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  16. REMOVE REAR DECK TRIM COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  17. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL )
  18. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
  19. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL )
  20. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
  21. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH RH 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 4 claws and remove the center belt guide.

    2. w/ Curtain Shield Airbag:
      NOTE: Replace the special clip with a new one when the roof side inner garnish is removed.
      1. Disengage the 5 clips.
      2. Pass the rear seat outer belt and the rear center seat outer belt through the slit in the roof side inner garnish and remove the roof side inner garnish.

    3. w/o Curtain Shield Airbag:
      1. Disengage the 5 clips.
      2. Pass the rear seat outer belt and the rear center seat outer belt through the slit in the roof side inner garnish and remove the roof side inner garnish.
  22. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH LH  (See REMOVAL )

  23. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 tongue plates.

    2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and open the slip joint cover.

    3. Remove the bolt and the through anchor.

    4. Remove the bolt, the hook and the bracket.

    5. Remove the bolt, the 2 hooks and the retractor.

  24. REMOVE SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER 
    1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the seat belt anchor cover.

  25. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the clip and the roof headlining.

  26. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT COVER 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear seat shoulder belt cover.
