Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
It is necessary to perform initialization (See INITIALIZATION
) after registration (See REGISTRATION
) of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU, after the ECU have been replaced.
HINT:
This procedure must be performed according to the PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU)
- Disconnect the F1 combination meter connector.
- Disconnect the E60 tire pressure warning ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance
RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Specified Condition F1-7 (TIRE) - E60-5 (IND) Below 1 Ω F1-7 (TIRE) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT COMBINATION METER
- Disconnect the connector from the tire pressure warning ECU.
- Turn the ignition switch on (IG), check the condition of the tire pressure warning light illumination.
