Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve Assembly: Removal

  1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH 
  2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH 
  3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT  (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
  4. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE COWL TOP PANEL OUTER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts, 4 nuts and cowl top panel outer sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  (See REMOVAL )
  12. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  13. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  14. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  15. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  16. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  (See REMOVAL )
  17. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK  (See REMOVAL )
  18. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 1 Exhaust Side) 
    1. Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
    2. Remove the bolt and camshaft timing oil control valve.
    3. Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve.

  19. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 1 Intake Side) 
    1. Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
    2. Remove the bolt and camshaft timing oil control valve.
    3. Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve.

  20. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 2 Exhaust Side) 
    1. Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
    2. Remove the bolt and camshaft timing oil control valve.
    3. Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve.

  21. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 2 Intake Side) 
    1. Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
    2. Remove the bolt and camshaft timing oil control valve.
    3. Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve.
