Front Stabilizer Bar: Removal
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
(See AIRBAG SYSTEM )
- PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
- REMOVE FRONT WHEELS
- REMOVE ENGINE NO.2 UNDER COVER (See REMOVAL )
- SEPARATE STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- SEPARATE TIE ROD (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH
- Remove the 2 nuts and the front stabilizer link assembly LH.
HINT:
If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a hexagon wrench (6 mm) to hold the stud.
- Remove the 2 nuts and the front stabilizer link assembly LH.
- REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH
- Remove the 2 nuts and the front stabilizer link assembly RH.
HINT:
If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a hexagon wrench (6 mm) to hold the stud.
- Remove the 2 nuts and the front stabilizer link assembly RH.
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET LH
- Remove the 2 bolts and the front stabilizer bracket No. 1 LH from the front frame assembly.
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET RH
- Remove the 2 bolts and the front stabilizer bracket No. 1 RH from the front frame assembly.
- REMOVE FRONT NO.2 STABILIZER BRACKET LH
- Remove the front stabilizer bracket No.2 LH from the front stabilizer bar bushing No. 1.
- REMOVE FRONT NO.2 STABILIZER BRACKET RH
- Remove the front stabilizer bracket No.2 RH from the front stabilizer bar bushing No. 1.
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BAR BUSHING
- Remove the 2 front stabilizer bar bushings No. 1 from the front stabilizer bar.
- REMOVE FRONT NO.3 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE (See INSTALLATION )
- REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY
- Remove the bolt, nut and the manifold stay.
- REMOVE POWER STEERING LINK (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER BAR
- Remove the front stabilizer bar from the right side of the vehicle.
