Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC (SEE  DTC CHECK/CLEAR   )
    1. Check DTC.

      Result:

      DTC

      DTC C1300/62 is output (only C1300/62) A
      Other DTC is output B
    1. B: REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTC (SEE  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART   )
    2. A: Go to next step.
  2. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (IG1 TERMINAL VOLTAGE)
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (IG1 TERMINAL VOLTAGE)  .

      Standard:

SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (IG1 TERMINAL VOLTAGE)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A40-18 (IG1) - Body ground Ignition switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (IG1 CIRCUIT)
    2. OK: Go to next step.
  3. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (GND TERMINAL CONTINUITY)
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (GND TERMINAL CONTINUITY)  .

      Standard:

SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (GND TERMINAL CONTINUITY)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      A40-4 (GND1) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
      A40-1 (GND2) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    1. NG: CHECK AND REPAIR HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GND CIRCUIT)
    2. OK: Go to next step.
  4. READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER (IG VOLTAGE)
    1. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
    2. Start the engine.
    3. Select "DATA LIST" on the hand-held tester.

      DATA LIST: ABS

      DATA LIST - ABS

Item Measurement Item / Range (Display) Normal Condition
IG VOLTAGE ECU power supply voltage / TOO LOW / NORMAL / TOO HIGH TOO HIGH: 14.0 V or over
IG VOLTAGE ECU power supply voltage / TOO LOW / NORMAL / TOO HIGH NORMAL: 9.5 V to 14.0 V
IG VOLTAGE ECU power supply voltage / TOO LOW / NORMAL / TOO HIGH TOO LOW: Below 9.5 V
    4. Read the voltage condition output from the ECU displayed on the hand-held tester.

      OK:

      "NORMAL" is displayed.

    1. NG: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE  REPLACEMENT  )
    2. OK: END

    HINT:

It is suspected that the DTCs were output due to a bad connection of the connector terminal.
