Inspection Procedure
- CHECK DTC (SEE DTC CHECK/CLEAR
)
- B: REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTC (SEE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )
- A: Go to next step.
- INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (IG1 TERMINAL VOLTAGE)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
- Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (IG1 TERMINAL VOLTAGE)
.
Standard:
SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (IG1 TERMINAL VOLTAGE)Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A40-18 (IG1) - Body ground Ignition switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (IG1 CIRCUIT)
- OK: Go to next step.
- INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (GND TERMINAL CONTINUITY)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (GND TERMINAL CONTINUITY)
.
Standard:
SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (GND TERMINAL CONTINUITY)Tester Connection Specified Condition A40-4 (GND1) - Body ground Below 1 Ω A40-1 (GND2) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
- NG: CHECK AND REPAIR HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GND CIRCUIT)
- OK: Go to next step.
- READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER (IG VOLTAGE)
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Select "DATA LIST" on the hand-held tester.
DATA LIST: ABS
DATA LIST - ABSItem Measurement Item / Range (Display) Normal Condition IG VOLTAGE ECU power supply voltage / TOO LOW / NORMAL / TOO HIGH TOO HIGH: 14.0 V or over IG VOLTAGE ECU power supply voltage / TOO LOW / NORMAL / TOO HIGH NORMAL: 9.5 V to 14.0 V IG VOLTAGE ECU power supply voltage / TOO LOW / NORMAL / TOO HIGH TOO LOW: Below 9.5 V - Read the voltage condition output from the ECU displayed on the hand-held tester.
OK:
"NORMAL" is displayed.
- NG: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- OK: END
HINT:
It is suspected that the DTCs were output due to a bad connection of the connector terminal.
