Inspection Procedure

NOTE:
When replacing the master cylinder solenoid, perform zero point CALIBRATION
.
- Measure voltage between terminals TC (13) and CG (4) of the DLC3.
CHECK:
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Measure the voltage between terminals TC (13) and CG (4) of the DLC3.

OK:
Voltage: 10 to 14 V
- NG : Go to step 3 .
- OK : Go to next step.
- Check CAN communication system (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
).
CHECK:
Check if the CAN communication systems DTC is detected.
RESULT:
DTC OUTPUT RESULTDTC is output A DTC is not output B - NG : Repair circuit indicated by output code (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART ).
- OK : Replace master cylinder solenoid (See DISASSEMBLY ).
- Check for open or short circuit in harness and connector between DLC3 and ECM.
- NG : Repair or replace harness or connector.
- OK : Go to next step.
- Check harness and connector between CG terminal of DLC3 and body ground.
CHECK:
Measure the resistance between terminal CG of the DLC3 and body ground.
OK:
Continuity
- NG : Repair or replace harness or connector (CG circuit).
- OK : Go to next step.
- Check ECM TC input.
PREPARATION:
Using SST, connect terminal TC and CG of the DLC3.
SST 09843-18040
CHECK:
Check that the engine warning light is blinking.
RESULT:
ENGINE WARNING LIGHT BLINKING CONDITIONSEngine warning light is blinking A Engine warning light is not blinking B - B : Repair or replace ECM circuit (TC circuit and/or ECM).
- A : Go to next step.
- Check CAN communication system (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
).
CHECK:
