Rear Brake Back Plate Removal and Installation: Removal

- Perform Steps 1) to 5) of Removal in "Rear Brake Drum Removal and Installation:".
- Perform Steps 2) to 4) of Removal in "Rear Brake Shoe Removal and Installation:".
- Perform Steps 3) and 4) of Removal in "Wheel Cylinder Removal and Installation:".
- Remove cable (3) from brake back plate (1) by squeezing parking brake cable stopper ring (2).
- Drain rear differential gear oil.
- Remove wheel bearing retainer nuts (1) from rear axle housing.
- Using special tools, draw out rear axle shaft with brake back plate.

- Remove brake back plate (3) from rear axle shaft (1).
