Transfer Case and Extension Case: Removal

Remove the manual transmission assembly from the vehicle. Ref. to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (TY75)>TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY>REMOVAL
Remove the back-up light switch and the neutral position switch. Ref. to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (TY75)>SWITCHES AND HARNESS>REMOVAL>BACK-UP LIGHT AND NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH

Remove the transfer case together with the extension case assembly.

Remove the transmission cover.

Set and hold the selector lever COMPL to the 1st-2nd side, and remove the transfer case and extension case as a unit.

Remove the transfer cover.

Use the ST (REMOVER) to push out the straight pin, and remove the shift lever COMPL.

Remove the extension case assembly.

Remove the transfer driven gear and center differential as a unit.
