Brake Accumulator ASSY: Installation

1. Install the brake accumulator assembly to the bracket - accumulator.

   Tightening torque: 

   7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

2. Install the brake accumulator assembly and the bracket - accumulator.

   Tightening torque: 

   33 N.m (3.4 kgf-m, 24.3 ft-lb)

3. Install bracket - pipe A, bracket - _______pipe B, and the front brake pipe assembly (pipe between brake accumulator assembly - master cylinder).

   Refer to "COMPONENT" of "General Description" for the tightening torque. Ref. to BRAKE>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>COMPONENT>BRAKE BOOSTER .

4. Install reservoir joint pipe.
   1. Remove the nuts securing the reservoir joint pipe.

   2. Raise the reservoir joint hose B so that the hose end becomes higher than the reservoir tank.

   3. Remove the cap - reservoir tank, and add the brake fluid.
   4. Confirm that the brake fluid flows out, and install the reservoir joint hose B to the brake accumulator assembly.
   5. Install the nuts securing the reservoir joint pipe.

   Tightening torque: 

   7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

5. Bleed air from the reservoir joint pipe. Ref. to BRAKE>AIR BLEEDING>PROCEDURE>RESERVOIR JOINT PIPE (HYBRID MODEL) .
6. Install expansion valve - cooler assembly. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (HEV)>EXPANSION VALVE>INSTALLATION>COOLER VALVE .
7. Install the air intake boot. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>AIR INTAKE BOOT>INSTALLATION .
8. Connect the battery ground terminal. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
9. Bleed air from the brake system. Ref. to BRAKE>AIR BLEEDING>PROCEDURE>BRAKE SYSTEM (HYBRID MODEL) .
10. Install the front and rear wheels.

Tightening torque: 

120 N.m (12.2 kgf-m, 88.5 ft-lb)
