Cooler Valve

- Using the refrigerant recovery system, discharge refrigerant. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (HEV)>REFRIGERANT RECOVERY PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE .
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY
.
- Move the air intake boot. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>AIR INTAKE BOOT>REMOVAL
.
NOTE:
With the PCV hose connected, remove the air intake boot from the air cleaner case (rear) and throttle body.
- Disconnect the pipe - sensor.
- Remove the nut and bolt, and then disconnect the pipe - sensor.
CAUTION:
Seal the engaging parts of the disconnected pipe, expansion valve - cooler assembly, and air conditioner unit with plugs or vinyl tape to prevent foreign matter from entering.

- Disconnect the pipe - evaporator cooling.
- Remove the bolt, and detach the pipe - evaporator cooling.
CAUTION:
Seal the engaging parts of the disconnected pipe and expansion valve - cooler assembly with plugs or vinyl tape to prevent foreign matter from entering.

- Remove expansion valve - cooler assembly.
CAUTION:
Seal the engaging parts of the disconnected hose and air conditioning unit with plugs or vinyl tape to prevent foreign matter from entering.
- Remove the bolt, and remove the hose of expansion valve - cooler assembly.

- Disconnect the connectors, connector clips, and harness clips.
- Remove the nuts, and remove the expansion valve - cooler assembly.
