Reservoir Joint Pipe (Hybrid Model)

1. Hold and pull up the center part of the reservoir joint pipe by approx. 110 mm (4.3 in), and keep it for approx. 20 seconds.
   CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the reservoir joint hose by pulling it with excessive force.
   NOTE: By doing this, air in the brake accumulator assembly will move into the reservoir joint pipe.

2. From the condition in (1), lower the reservoir joint pipe to the front of the pitching stopper (a), and keep it for approx. 20 seconds.
   CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the reservoir joint hose by pulling it with excessive force.
   NOTE: By doing this, air in the reservoir joint pipe will move toward the reservoir tank.

3. Repeat steps  1 to  2 for two more cycles.
4. With the reservoir joint pipe lowered, pinch the reservoir joint hose A with your fingers to discharge air.
   CAUTION:

   • Repeat this procedure until no air is discharged to the reservoir tank.
   • Air bubble does not move in a horizontal state. Be sure to hold the reservoir joint pipe so that the reservoir tank side becomes higher.
   NOTE: Light the reservoir tank to make it easier to check the air discharge status.

5. If the air still remains, repeat steps  1 to  4 again until all air is removed.

Tightening torque: 

7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
